“From the far reaches of space to the planetary cores, from the ocean depths to the muddy shores, from the mountain caves to shelters sky high, from the greyness of depression to the green of new life, from the monkey mind to the meditative gaze, from sunken moments to enlightened days. Here I am, an individual, yet part of the whole.”

What defines the individual? Is the perception of a distinct self an illusion? We are more than half non-human, having a shared heritage with life on earth and a brain with constantly changing neural networks. We are more intertwined with nature and each other than we realise. It’s time to embrace the whole.

Exhibited at Minnawarra Art Awards (2022) and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Art Prize (2021).
