The Faces of Loneliness

2023
Acrylic on linen
101 x 67 x 3.2 cm (40 x 26 x 1.25 in)

The Faces of Loneliness is an introspective exploration of the profound human experience of loneliness, capturing its multifaceted nature, nuances and its impact on our psyche. Loneliness is a universal human experience that transcends boundaries of age, gender, and culture. By shedding light on this often misunderstood, overlooked and stigmatized emotion, I hope to create a space for contemplation and empathy, prompting the viewer to reflect on their own encounters with loneliness and foster a deeper understanding of the shared human experience.

Exhibited at Metamorphosis Art Gallery in Willetton, Western Australia (2023).

Black and white surrealist artwork featuring a skull morphing into a tree ghost figure with a demon like entity coming out of it
